CARY MADRIGAL

For Racine County Sheriff

Untitled design (1).mp4

Raised in Racine County and a proud resident of Union Grove, I’ve built my life around service, hard work, and community. From working multiple jobs as a teenager to support myself, to earning my education while working full-time, I’ve always believed in showing up and doing the work.

In 2001, I joined the Racine County Sheriff's Office as a Deputy Sheriff. What started as a chance opportunity turned into a lifelong calling. Over more than two decades, I’ve risen through the ranks—serving in patrol, investigations, training, and leadership roles—and I’m proud to currently serve as Captain of the Operations Division.

The most meaningful part of my career has always been helping people—especially during their most difficult moments. That same commitment carries into everything I do. I’m also a dedicated community member, volunteering through my church, local schools, and organizations that support families and youth.

Above all, I’m a mother of three. My children are my “why,” and they inspire me every day to lead with integrity, resilience, and compassion.
